CONSTRUCTION: FIRE SCENE

We organised a real burning bonfire today. We decided to place 'Miley' behind the fire in order to capture a stronger image of the burning flames. The fire is used to represent a sense of destruction. It also symbolises her mental state which is filled with passion, anger, and power.

Once the fire died down we captured many good shots of the smoke drifting around her. This is used to contrast the previous scene which was filled with feelings of intensity and anger. Miley is now surrounded by mountains of smoke which creates an almost serene like image. This represents the 'free-spirited' Miley we occasionally see throughout the video.

CONSTRUCTION: PLAYGROUND SCENE

Today we completed the playground scene. In this scene we plan to have shot-reverse shots of the couple staring into each others 'eyes' ( camera), whilst on a roundabout swing. The camera focusses on the individual yet follows the circular motion of the roundabout swing. This is a high angle shot, where both individuals are looking up into the camera lens to create a more interesting shot.

CONSTRUCTION: POWDER PAINT

Today we filmed the chorus for our music video. In this scene we see Miley full of emotion and passion   over the break up. This scene is in contrast with the controlled, tammed Miley we see in the previous scenes. We wanted to portray Miley as a 'free spirit' which is connoted through the colourful powder paints in the shot.

We plan to use the shots of the drums as cutaway shots between performance-based shots.
